From Board level through to operational staff working on the ground, every Salazar employee recognises the importance of working safely and respecting the environment and communities we are privileged to work in.

For us, our investment in quality sustainable livelihood, health and education programmes is part of a long-term, meaningful contribution to those communities.

During early exploration activities we communicate with landowners and residents prior to accessing land. We work with the local communities, often using local guides and prospectors, and we take care of the environment as we work. Once a project is more advanced and more established, Salazar is able to expand its community engagement.
