In consultation with local residents, Curimining has established a traditional dance school and a Folk Project. The dance school has youth and adult troupes and incorporates national dances from both Highland and Lowland Ecuadorian traditions. It has been active for several years, and has toured the country and internationally, representing the local area and the mining sector, receiving widespread critical acclaim.
