300km SE of the city of Cuenca.
Prospective for Au - Cu.
Mendez prospect is an exploration area that lies between metamorphic and sedimentary rocks which are intruded by copper/gold porphyries. The expectation is to find copper porphyries and Carlin deposits (gold structures with carbonates + base metals).
Scheduled exploration for 2007 include: stream sediments, rock geochemical (outcrops and rock chip), geological mapping.
