Caracol Anomaly
The company has identified mineralized structures at the Caracol and Caracol 1 anomalies, located 1.6 kilometers north of El Gallo. At Caracol and Caracol 1 a total of 29 rock channel samples have been collected, with the lengths varying from 2 to 5 meters.
Significant channel samples returned the following results:
- Caracol:
- 2 metres grading 3.11 g/t gold and 0.29% zinc;
- 16 metres grading 1.98 g/t gold and 1.7 % Zinc, including 6 metres grading 2.80 g/t gold and 2.18 % zinc.
- Caracol 1:
- 10 metres grading 5.72 g/t gold and 155 g/t silver.
The gold, silver and zinc mineralization zones are located between hydrothermal breccia structures with silicified clasts in an argilic matrix. Within the clasts, polymetallic sulphides can be observed (silver mineralization with pyrite, sphalerite and galena).
The efforts at Las Naves Central, Curipamba project have identified a number of anomalous zones within the concession. The exploration efforts to date have given us an indication that the structures identified could form part of an overall mineralized zone.
The next phase of the work program will be to test the continuity of the structures through a phase 1 drill program. The company plans to complete the phase 1 drill program at Las Naves Central once clarification to the mining tenure is achieved.
